PITTSBURG, CA – Continuing to demonstrate widespread support from the East Bay community, today, Mae Cendaña Torlakson earned the official endorsement of the East Bay Times. This support comes on the heels of Mae Cendaña Torlakson’s first place finish in the Primary election and the subsequent endorsements from local trusted leaders, including incumbent Assemblywoman Susan Bonilla, Representative Mark DeSaulnier, Representative Mike Thompson, and Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom.

Upon hearing the news of her endorsement, Mae Cendaña Torlakson released the following statement:

“I believe that validators speak volumes to a candidate’s viability and I am honored to add the East Bay Times to my diverse and growing list of endorsers in this race for Assembly District 14. I-like the East Bay Times-believe strongly in the value of a moral compass and ethical conduct especially when serving the public. I am confident that when I get the opportunity to serve Contra Costa and Solano Counties in the Legislature, I would do so with utmost integrity and with the best interest of the community in mind. I will work to create policies that increase educational opportunities, foster the growth of good paying jobs and small businesses, and reduce environmental pollutants and emissions, and I look forward to making the California Dream a reality for all.”
